A Dollar For A Change

This project is used to raise funds for Shelter Home Petaling Jaya which caters for the abused, abandoned and neglected children. Shelter Home is in need of extra funds to continue providing for all the children residing at the home. Shelter home is divided into three different homes namely Shelter 1, Shelter 2 and Shelter 3. The three shelter homes provide for different ages and gender. Shelter 1 is for the younger children between the ages of 4-12 years for both boys and girls whereas Shelter 2 provides for teenage girls between ages 13-18 years and lastly Shelter 3 provides for teenage boys from the ages of 13-18 years.

These children that are in the home have been under many forms of abuse that have caused a negative impact in their lives. With this in mind, Shelter Home is very strict in implementing rules and regulations concerning the privacy of the children. To respect the children of Shelter Home, faces and pictures of the children are not revealed in the video. This is to ensure they are emotionally healthy when they grow up. According to Mr Joseph being the person in charge of Shelter Home the children of the home always feel that they are second place and this makes them feel inferior to normal children. Hence, the video only provides the full interview with Mr Joseph.

The funds raised for Shelter Home will be used to purchase for the children school stationary and required necessities that will be provided after discussions with the home. Therefore, let us together be the agents of change for the children of today and the future leaders of tomorrow by donating for a good cause.
