To share what I have, and to show care & love to those who are in need is one of my best achievements in life. Hey guys! @lynrogan here! Hows it going? A few days ago, as you might have read in my previous blog, my charity work has been successful. I was with @blogger017 and the entire afternoon, we were outside searching for homeless kids or elders. Thankfully we found people to help, so by the way, in this blog, I wanna share the story on how my charity work went on that day. So here we go! Before I start, I wanted to thank Steemit because Steemit is such a big help for me, and it is the reason why I am able to share what I have with other people.

Weeks before the event, me & @blogger017 were planning this. We were thinking about what we will give the kids and the elders. So we came up with things that will be useful for the people, so we thought of fruits! Because fruits have many nutritive contents & a meal! Because the event, after all, will be during lunch time. So we had a plan of what to give the people, but we were clueless about how many people were going to be there.

So anyway, there came the day! February 4, 2018. It was a beautiful day. The sun is shining bright, the sky is blue & the temperature is not too hot & not too cold. The day where my charity work will help people again! So I woke up, ate breakfast, and I rode a bus on the way, along with my son. So it was around 10:00 AM I was waiting for @blogger017 and then I saw him walking simply dressed, and then he smiled and then we quickly went to a fast food chain to buy some lunch for the people.

Here’s a picture of me ordering! Haha!

I do know to myself, that these meals that I bought wouldn’t be enough for everyone, but I hope that when I have enough budget someday, I can provide enough for the people.

So yes, I bought many fruits, just in case the meals would not be enough. And while buying the fruits, The thought came to mind! I forgot what fruits to buy! It was not planned! So thankfully, I had my previous blogs were I blogged about the benefits of fruits and their nutritive contents, and for my choice, I decided to buy plenty of apples & oranges because it has so many benefits that will surely help the elders. And in choosing a meal for the elders, I was keeping one thing in mind, “as long as the meal comes with rice”.

Before we started searching for homeless, people we first calculated the budget, did some computations.

Of course, in order for a plan to be successful, it needs to be tackled step by step or slowly but surely.

After buying what is needed, we then went ahead to look for homeless elders first, we saw a lady in a wheelchair, I was deeply moved to see her asking for food, so I immediately gave her some drinks & some lunch, some fruits and a little bit of advice. Little did I know, I was already getting attention, which was not my intention. So the other elders came, and I was shocked! There were so many! So there I was with @bloggeer017 so confused and tensed! But thankfully, we gave the elders some meals, and the others some fruits.

So when we finally finished giving the elders some lunch and fruits, We felt tired but happy. Because a lot of them went ahead with smiles on their faces. Although I felt a little bit sad because the lunch that we had, was not enough for them, so I had to give them lots of fruits instead, hopefully, in my next charity work, there will be enough foods for all of them! 😊.

We finished helping the elders! Now it was time to help the homeless kids, but unfortunately, there was not a single kid that showed up, so we just went ahead to the mall and decided to eat lunch, because we ourselves are hungry too.

But on our way to eat our lunch, we saw another lady, she was selling flowers, but she was not like the other vendors, it looked like she was having a hard time standing so I decided to share her some lunch, thankfully there was one meal left & some fruits so we gave it to her. We asked her if we could take a picture, and she said yes! I had a photo with her. To see her smile was such a precious moment for me.

Of course, we also felt happy to be able to help so many people because of Steemit.
So we were really hungry because we started around 11:30 AM and finished around 1:30 PM while we are exposed to the sun, so it was a feeling of tiredness, but the feeling of joy to see the elders happy, is much more felt. We traveled all the way to the nearest mall and found a fast food chain.

So we ate at a fast food chain too, the team and I had a fun time having conversations. We were also planning when will my next charity work be. We ate a lot and spent a leisurely walk in the mall. Since it was a job well done for my team, I guess we deserved a celebration? Haha! So my team and I went to Mang Inasal! And I guess we were really hungry! Haha! Had we liked 3 extra rice? Haha! And we ordered Pecho with Sisig hehe. It was really delicious and it was worth it! It took us a while to finish eating lunch because our stomach was really full, but after that, I decided that our work was done and we can all go home now, so we did, my team went home.

And that was it! After our charity was successfully launched and finished, we then went on our way home, tired but happy.

It is so great to help people, even in the simplest ways, because to hear their laughter and to see them smiling is one of the best treasures I can keep. I wanted to give something to the elders because it is The Love Month! February! So it was like an early Valentines gift to them, thanks to Steemit, it was possible for me to give the elders some gifts. And I still believe in the saying “Sharing is caring” because when we share, it kinda shows or looks like that we care. Thanks to our sponsors too!
@ladyjah & @jassennessaj for sponsoring, and to all those who helped me in making this charity work possible!

It was also Sunday, so before I started my charity work, I went to the church first, so I can thank my Lord for all the Blessings. Thankfully, My Charity work became a success and hopefully, I can help some people again soon.
