Hello,

I am Jean-Reole, or J-R, I'm 38 old and father of a stepfamily.
My life story need more a book than some lines there to explain how, where and who, why sacrifices and the cost of them,..
But the result is that after 13 years, I finaly have my family: my 13 years daughter, my wife and my 14 months baby boy.

With my work I can protect them, feed them, but not enough for entertainment.
I have a lifetime contract, but low salary and a clause prohibiting other work, and my wife, because foreigner, don't have legal authorization to work.
So I do with what I have.
And what I have is...the home computer I build 8 years ago.
I updated it by changing some parts with time, but since months I keep it alive.
I won't be able to stabilize it long, even to repair, it is too old to be fixed.

I live in French Polynesia, on Tahiti island -don't hesitate to have a look on Google-.
There life look good, but the cost of life is terrific.
To build a new computer there cost at least $2000. 
When I say to build a new computer, it is only the computer, without screen, without keyboard,..
So I had a look on Internet on some websites to buy online.
It is possible to make one to $1300, price of parts and send cost.
Send costs are important because the island where I live is far and to receive parts without paying customs taxes (30%), each order must be under $300, parts and send cost added.
But even this amount is not possible for me.

Yesterday, by reading an online scientific article I discovered the way of crowd funding. 
So I try.

The goal of this crowd funding campaign is $1300.
I just want to build a computer with AMD chipset (the cheapest trademark), MSI motherboard and MSI videocard (cheapest trademark for AMD), hard drive SSD (the most little as 120Gb, to quick the boot, actualy our computer boot in...7mn) and hard drive 1.5Tb to save all movies, anime and musics of the family. I don't need a screen, I will use the old one, as for keyboard, I will keep the old too. Only to buy necessary parts. 

I wrote there $2500 goal.
The reason is that if more than $1300, I will think of me. 13 years ago I was pilot and I miss it a lot, I sacrificed all for my daughter, but it is an other story. So if more than $1300 I will buy a joystick, a throttle joystick, rudder pedals and a Oculus Rift !
As you saw, this last idea is totaly not necessary for my family, there, is only a dream.
I just try. I keep in mind priority for my family.
