A chance to walk again!

I come to you today with a heavy heart, but with a steadfast spirit and a deep belief that your support can make a real difference in my life.

I am Muresan Florin Paul, a 30-year-old , and a 5 times world-champion karate athlete living in Romania. I have dedicated my life to the sport and have won multiple world championships, but in July of 2020, my life took a dramatic turn. Unfortunately after a jump in the swimming pool, I suffered a fracture in my spinal cord and was left paralyzed from the chest down due to a complete injury at the C6/C7 cervical vertebrates.

The moment I dove into the water, I felt like I had an impact because I was dizzy and couldn't coordinate my movements. But there I had a cervical spine fracture. I stayed there under the water for 2-3 minutes, during which I began to call with all my heart to God to save me and get me out. A white light appeared around me and by God mercy, someone jump after me. The 2-3 minutes in the water seemed like 2-3 seconds to me. I was notified a few days after the accident that they were actually 2-3 minutes, not seconds. God took care of me. I got out of the pool, but when I got out of the pool I found that I could no longer move my legs and that I had practically no strength in my whole body. I was taken, operated on and woke up the next day after the surgery, but the next day when I woke up, from the hospital bed I couldn't move anything from the neck down. I could only move my neck. Oooh! At that moment, from my chest, as you hear voices now, I heard a voice: "keep calm, it will be fine." And at that moment, a peace, a calm and a strength fell over me. I knew at that moment that everything would be fine. My then girlfriend, thank God, stayed by my side and is now my wife.

I know that God sometimes works through people, I thank Him because he sends me people like you who wants to help me, until God decide's to hill me. And I know that every thought, donation, prayer will be rewarded by God.

I left myself in the hands of the Lord and this completely changed my life, without God I would not have succeeded in anything.

Despite this incredible challenge, I face every day with an open heart and ask for God's guidance and blessings in my endeavors. As I continue on my path toward complete healing, I am reaching out for your support today.

I’ve never been more confident in my ability to recover. Since the accident I've been fighting with every ounce of my being to regain my ability to walk. The road to recovery has been long and challenging, but I refuse to give up. I've amazed even my doctors with my progress - I can swim on my own, I have regained my balance on my torso, and I can move from one chair to another. I know that my background as an athlete is helping me through this journey, as my body is strong and resilient.

I know clearly God is involved in my healing, because the doctors gave me not a chance, not one chance! They told me that as a result of the injury, I must be turned from one side to the other in bed for the rest of my life. And with God's help, so far I have recovered a lot. My recovery exceeded the expectations of the doctors!
I am in a much better condition. They didn't give me a chance, but I know the Lord is giving me a chance.

I am determined to not let my injury define me and I’ve turned both inside and toward God for the strength I need for my recovery. Every day, I share a dose of motivation and wisdom on my social media, to offer my journey of self-discovery and closeness to God to all those who have been with me in this process. With His guidance and the unwavering support of my family and friends, I am determined to make this happen.
