A CHANCE TO CHANGE MY LIFE

Coming from a traditional Moroccan family, that believes a woman’s place is inside her home, that she shouldn’t dream about having a brighter future a career. After all she will get married and her husband will provide for her. I have faced lot of difficulties, from being locked inside the house to spending nights in the streets where I was physically abused. but that never stopped me from pushing forward and work hard do prouve that I'm a strong independent Muslim woman, that problem of favouring the boys and preventing girls from their right to have good education caused by ignorance, lack of knowledge and culture should not even exist in 2017.

It has been 4 years since I graduated from high school, since then I have been applying to universities and each time I received offers from local and international universities but because of the high tuition costs I was never able to continue my studies, Instead I was doing what every girl was doing in my communitee, trapped in the house work and chores, I was not given the chance to change my life. Despite the difficulties, trials and tribulations I refuse to give up, I believe I can succeed and I believe I’m capable of building a firm foundation with the bricks others have thrown at me.

I know that it's easy to get so wrapped up in fixing your own life but I hope you would find time and effort to help raise my tuition cost, as University is my chance to have a fresh start after escaping from the constant toxicity of a household filed with anger, violence and discrimination.
