A Car For ZAK

My son Zak is the most brilliant, responsible, focused teenager I have ever met. I'm not saying that because he is my son; he truly is. He has always pulled straight A's, has received several awards for Acedemic Excellence and his Upbeat,Positive Attitude. He was nationally recognized in 2010 as an active member of Project Citizen. Him and his team created a bill that was sent to congress in Washington D.C. He earned a full Scholarship to any 4 Year College in Washington State when he was just in the 8th grade. That same year he was given an Achievement Award from the Rotary Club for being in the top 10% of Students in our County. His teachers throughout Jr. High and High School have recommended him for countless awards and scholarships. One teacher, his Biology teacher, actually created an Award for him; he was the only student in her 12 years of teaching to get an A on a very challenging project that she gives out in her class  Every week my mailbox is flooded with offers from Colleges, pleading for him to pick them. Next year he is entering his Jr. Year in High School and is majoring in Science, Math and Quantum Physics. He has his heart set on being an Astro-Physicist or Engineer. He is also an avid runner and he Loves to hike and camp out with the guys.  Oh, and X Box! He has a lovely girlfriend whom he has been courting since he was 13. He has waited a Looooong time to take her out on a date. I want to get him a car by his birthday in June. I am on a very tight budget so I had to get creative about how I was going to fund the project of buying him his first car. My goal is to save/raise $2,500 by June 15th. I started a little seller's account on Ebay and have already made over $100 in this last week; just selling items I pick up at second hand stores and such. I am also selling my 1996 Cirius for around $1000 in mid May. And I know it seems little, but I have a change jar that is accumulating quite fast as well. So I figure if I can raise $750 on Go Get Funding then I will be able to buy him a car by putting all the money together!
