Rides for Life

I am a delivery driver here in Sam Diego. I drive for a living and use my personal car for delivery's. I deliver for a company that is kind of like meals on wheels and we deliver meals to people that are unable to otherwise leave or prepare food where they live. I also drive for postmates, uber eats & doordash and am also active in rideshare. Recently I lost my my car and have been borrowing a friends car and when I can renting from Zip car as I can rent by the hour. My dear friend will be moving and I will not be able to borrow the car anymore. I do a lot of volunteer work for the homeless and for victims of domestic violence. I drive a good deal of the homeless population here in San Diego to Dr. Appointments, food banks, and just about to any place they need to go. This is all done in my spare time and i finance everything. Without a car I am unable to help anybody. Without a car I am unable to support myself. My regular delivery job is what allows me to volunteer and help the homeless with safe reliable transportation. My car was my livelihood and the means to help less fortunate people. The price of new cars and new used cars are crazy. I have decided I do not want to make a monthly car payment but rather purchase a decent reliable roadworthy car. Many friends use the car auctions and I have decided to go this route. It has come highly recommended. The beautiful part about this is I really need very little. I just do not have the extra money and several people have suggested fund raising. I have never really reached out for help as my ego always got in the way. There are many homeless people out there that have really come to depend on me. I refuse to let them down. With the donations I receive I plan on purchasing a used car so that I may continue to help those that truly need. I am not going to let these people down. A car is my life line and how I earn my living. Most importantly it is how I give back. No donation is to small. For the first three people that donate $100.00 will be rewarded with 10 free delivery's in southern San Diego.
