A Call for HELP for Teacher Ayie’s Chemotheraphy

Chemo with the assistance of my siblings and relatives.SurgeryGreetings to everyone. I am Estrellita Abear Gipalaga, Ayie by my nickname. Christian , a wife, mother of two and a public school teacher by profession, I am from the Philippines. Our Life was okay untill 2019. My child's heel accidentally brushed against my left as we sleep that night. Started to notice a lump on my breast on the Year 2020 it I was unable to get a check up because of COVID lockdowns . After pandemic everything goes back to normal and I was preoccupied at school work that I even lost track of the breast lump. This year 2023, when I noticed that it is enlarging, sach month. My spouse and I arranged to go to Ozamis City for a check up on March 10, 2023. I met a breast specialist who diagnosed me with stage 3C breast cancer based solely on a physical check up. That doctor advised me to proceed with Chemotheraphy, but I was hesitant. so my husband and I decided for a second opinion from a breast specialist in Cebu City. I had all the test to make sure I had cancer including mammogram, sonomammogram, liver ultrasound, biopsy, histopathology, bone scan, ECG, 2D Echo. despite our limited financial resources , I ensured that all test were completed. when the findings came back, the doctor said I couldnt have surgery and I couldn't have standard Chemotheraphy ,based on the tests result, Shethen recommended me to an oncologist. Hearing such news made me hopeless, but thankfully the oncologist accepted me. and he give m priscriptions while explaining all of my long term care options. I was overjoyed that I had finally found a chance to life., But the treatment was prohibitively expensive. Before we returned home , I was able to begin the first round with the assistance of my siblings and relatives. My tpe of cancer is a HER2+ . I will have to go through 6 Cycles of Chemotherapy 21 days interval and 18 cycles of HerTraz treatment. As you know this troubles me greatly because I am merely a public school teacher whose salary cannot afford even a single penny in this threatment. My husband is a backyard farmer with a meager slary. I have two wonderful children. My eldest is in the tenth grade, and my youngest is in the 3rd grade. I respectfully rewas over the life as a public school teacher gets back to the norma . I went home and told my husband about what the doctor said. We wanted a second opinion, and decided to go to Cebu. March 23,2023 this marks the day where I started everything so I can have my cancer be treated. I went to see a breast specialist and she requested for mammogram and sonomammogram. Sadly, it belong to category 5, which is suspicious to malignancy. And what saddened me most is that the right breast is already affected. We had a biopsy and it cost double because I have to have a test for the two breast. I didn't have that much money and yet I continued, trusting that GOD WILL PROVIDE. With the help of my siblings I was able to have all the test. And the result of the biopsy was that I have " INVASIVE LOBULAR CARCINOMA WITH LIVER METASTASIS test also show that I have a new growth of mass in my ovary. The surgeon then refered me to an oncologist. As his treatment protocol, I have to undergo 6 cycle of Chemotheraphy 21 days cycle with her traz treatment as to that my cancer belonged to a HER2 Positive case. Each session cost 65,750 pesos. Aside from this I have to have 18 cycle of HERtraz treatment. The amount burdened me and my husband , for we are just an ordinary teacher-farmer family. If I were to trust my salary for the treatment I cannot afford it. A teacher's salary really cannot afford it. My husband is just an ordinary farmer , we are poor. And then, this group was then referred to me by my husband's cousin telling me to try to ask help in this community. Seems that I found a spark of hope that I might be included to the many success story here. Since day 1 of processing my treatment I've entrust everything to God always trusting that HE will provide I just have to have Faith. To everyone in this community, please help me. I am knocking on your heart asking to spare a little amount for me. I still want to live, still wanting to see my grandchildren. My children still needs me. I am the bread winner in the family. My eldest is still in Grade10 and my youngest is still in Grade 3. Please help me. You're help will be of great help me and my family. GOD BLESS everyone.
