The Freedom Centre - Helping people to reach their potential through Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Learning.

We have put together a team of highly qualified and friendly staff and a mixed herd of 13 horses and ponies. We are very passionate and excited to be able to offer EAP/L to our clients.

A.C.E We have designed this program to aid the personal development of young people between the ages of 14 and 18 years. The program consists of 6-12 weekly sessions, where young people in groups will work in our arena with the horses carrying out set tasks.

These are just some of the benefits of EAP/L for young people:

To build confidence,

Enhance problem solving and social skills,

Learn empathy and stimulate creativity,

Accept accountability for behaviours,

Gain a sense of personal control,

Learn stress, anger and frustration management,

Decrease feelings of hopelessness and depression,

Learn better communication skills,

Build a strong and positive perception of self,

Learn cause and effect - taking responsibility,

Find direction, focus and meaning for life/future,

Establish and build positive relationship foundations.

Help us, help others

We are asking for donations to enable us to offer our bespoke therapies for those who need it most. All donations will go towards offering free/reduced price sessions for those who may otherwise not be able to benefit from this rewarding and life changing therapy.
