A Better Life

Hello! I am Ledivinia Del Mando. I am from Philippines and i am 17 years old when i was diagnosed with CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE (CKD) a type of kidney disease in which there is a gradual loss of kidney over a period of months or years. I am undergoing hemodialysis treatment 3x a week. I also need to take oral medication as maintenance for my blood pressure and for enlargement of the heart. Every treatment i also need to take eposino, a synthetic erythropoietin analog which works by stimulating bone marrow to produce RED BLOOD CELLS (RBC) through injection.

I also need a dialyzer which acts as an artificial kidney which is composed of hollow fibers that is used to eliminate waste products from the blood and remove excess fluids from the blood stream. I use Hi-flux dialyzer that cost Php. 2,240.00 where in i can use it for about 12-15 times. And with the help of Philhealth and PWD benefits, i only pay Php. 1,100.00 (treatment fee including doctor's fee); and Php. 760.00 for eposino every treatment. Every month i also need to undergo laboratory test which cost Php. 960.00.

In other hand when my Philhealth benefits(90 discounted session) ended, the cost of my treatment will be back to its actual price of Php. 3,900.00 plus the Eposino every treatment that cost Php. 1,500.00 and monthly Laboratory test that cost Php. 2,200.00.

Actually, my required dialysis session is thrice a week. But since we could not afford a 3x-a-week session, we are doing it twice a week.

We are humbly asking for your help because since the pandemic broke, my siblings who were assisting me with the cost of the treatment was greatly affected. Some lost their job and some were stopped.

We know that this is probably not the best time to seek monetary help but we would appreciate any amount that you can donate for my continous treatment.
