In October 2019, a series of strong earthquakes in southern Philippines destroyed millions worth of properties and displaced thousands of people. Pastor Benny Minggong, the pastor of Kidapawan Vineyard Community Church, and his family lost their house to the third earthquake (with a 6.5 magnitude) on October 31.
Pastor Benny’s faith in God gave him strength to continue providing leadership to his family and local church. He led a relief operation for a neighboring community and some church members who were also affected by the quake. With some help extended by brethren in Christ and the local government, he built a tent as a temporary shelter for his family and has lived there for the last two months.
To rebuild their home again, he is aiming to raise Php 250,000.00 (5,000 USD).
Pastor Benny is a dear friend of mine, and one of the things I admire about him is his steadfastness in his service to God. He continues to minister to others amidst personal lack. He prays with many others who are affected by the earthquakes. He does not sulk and complain, but joyfully praises God and looks for opportunities to encourage his community to trust in God.
I believe in my heart that blessing this man of God would empower him even more to lead others to a life of hope in Christ. Would you share a financial gift for Pastor Benny and his family?
