A beg to heal the leg

He is seen from a distant horizon under the scorching heat of the sun, recognizable with his signature limp as he approaches our base.

He comes in every other day at 2 o'clock in the afternoon so he can have us tend to his wound that never seem to heal,he told us his situation has been running for over a year now and has had it checked by doctors and was found to be caused by Diabetis,he was prescribed medications but did not have the money to buy them.

Just recently when he came in for a change in dressing,we were shocked to find live maggots on his wound! A partner doctor advised that it needs to be amputated as soon a possible to avoid sepsis. I can tell he was scared and hesitant when he heard this as he thinks it would mean losing his means of living,we told him we will try our best to find assistance for him.

His name is tatay Rodrigo Cabebe,69 years old, works as a Barker for passengers of public utility vehicles in a bus terminal to sustain his daily needs,he has no family or anyone to care for him and sleeps where he works.

Our goal would be to raise funds for a below the knee amputation procedure along with hospital bills and maintenance medications as well as provide new prosthetic legs. We found that this would cost an estimated Php150,000 to cover all major expenses. All proceeds will be handed over to our partner doctors and they will facilitate the process.
