A Bali Backpacking with a cause

A short story about myself.

Rochino 28 currently living in Singapore, In love and amazed with the culture and diversity in Bali when i first visited the beautiful island in 2015 and in 2017 I proposed to my beautiful girlfriend in that island too.

The Solo Backpacking trip :

In 2015, during the first visit to Bali the island of the Gods, and also the moment i fell in love with its people, culture and traditions. I met many people along the way coming from different background and agendas and Of course i found a purpose when i visited and met a humble and inspiring man named‘Bintang’ who started a small weekend classes for Children in Uluwatu Bali, Inspired by the man himself i vowed to myself to teach those kids as much english as i can in those short visits and also each time I visit these kids ill ask for some donations such as stationaries, children books and small little forms of educational stuffs from my friends in Singapore to donate to these kids. I believe that they have so much potential that is untapped, and from the months I spent with them, I saw nothing but determination to learn and grow their minds. They continue to be my inspiration, and I hope to return the favour by being a mentor.

Back in 2015-18 I've been travelling in and out of Bali just to explore the island but of course due to financial and other issues those trip didn’t last as long as I dreamed or wish for it to be. And also i wish to travel to different parts of Bali within this two month trip to understand more about the culture, and give my time to these children every sunday during this trip. I hope to make this dream come true and i hope i can make a little changes in their lives.

What your money will pay for:

• Travel expenses including my flight, transport, a simple living space for 60 days, and food
• Stationaries, simple supplies of children books, a white board, simple educational boardgames.
