Bertus Loots has an oversized heart and Rhumatoid Arthritis, and as a result has been ill and in and out of hospital, resulting in him not being able to work. He is still trying to support the staff that work for him and we would like to pay an amount towards the debt on his bakkie as the bank wants to repossess it due to his inability to pay for it. Please read the story below: My mom has been through so much with him. When he started losing the use of his hands in December, because of Rhumatoid Arthritis, she was the one who helped him dress and helped with what else needed to be done. He got a bit better after the right medication was given to him, but the next moment he started getting this infection and sores all over his legs and feet. She took him to the doctor and when they tested his kidneys it showed he was in renal failure and a very low blood count. She took him to Edenvale emergency room and he was admitted. He was given two pints of blood and antibiotics and after 10 days of not much else, he was send home. Within three days his legs were swollen again so bad that he could not walk or bend his legs and was getting weaker and weaker. She took him to Tambo Memorial Hospital where he was again admitted. Up to date they have given him blood but cannot figure out what is wrong with him. He is waiting for tests to be done but it takes so long because there are so many people and nobody is in much of a hurry. To have a medical aid is a luxury they can just not afford and another problem is the payment of the bakkie that is getting further behind, since he cannot work at this stage. They are in a lot of debt and it is getting worse. They have also recently said that his heart is oversized and his blood pressure is high. Alternatively, funds can be paid into the trust account: Rek naam: ITO SECTION 86(4) ITF B LOOTS, Standard Bank, Branch: Boksburg (01-18-42), Account number: 025 013 351, Account Type: Marketlink. NOTE: This entire campaign is managed by an Attorney.
