Safe School Smart Reporting Tool

Over the past few years incidents of sexual abuse in schools have increased considerably. Not just sexual abuse, negligence too has been a grave concern. The harsh truth of India is that many child abuse incidents are not getting reported. A common problem in the schools across the country is that even if they are equipped with enhanced security and CCTV, there is no secured and efficient reporting mechanism for staffs, parents and students to report any safety related issue on school premises. A Tamper proof digital instant reporting system with the feature of anonymously reporting of any issues can be big step to make school safer.

I am running an campaign called #ParentsInSchool (change.org\ParentsInSchool) to include parents as equal stakeholders in the process of making school safer.

As part of this campaign, I am also building an smart reporting tool through which parents, staffs can report any safety related issue to the concerned authority (Safety Team). Not only physical safety related issues but also emotional safety related issues(i.e. cyber-bullying etc) can be reported. They can report it anonymously if they are not comfortable in disclosing their names.The team will be alerted instantly. It is the responsibility of the safety team to verify the issue and create a case accordingly. System admin can forward the severe cases to local authority.

End to End encryption will be implemented so that the reported data(text/image/video) won't be leaked anywhere else.

App should be integrated with the camera of the mobile so that location of image and text can be detected.

AI based image and video validation and data analysis will be incorporated later on.
