Malachite’s Service Dog Training

I am Sarah Ridenour. I am 21 years old and chronically ill. I have more illnesses than I can count. I have seizures daily, progressive nerve damage in my legs that is starting to spread throughout my body and chronic pain that goes with it. It happened one day randomly. One day one leg went out and the other day the other one went out. It makes it very hard to walk and can be very painful at times. I fall and need help quite a bit walking, getting out of the bath etc.

My neurologist says I have some kind of illness that's attacking my nervous system but its a mystery still what it is since it's not showing up in tests. He "assumes" its MS. But anyways, he says I would benefit having a service dog. I have a lot more problems with my health but it would take forever to type.

But, I would need my service dog for mobility, retrieving dropped items and seizure response mainly and other small tasks.

Malachite is my Service puppy prospect. He is almost 7 months old now and doing fantastic in the training he has been going through so far. He also alerts naturally to my seizures which is very helpful. When I can't tell when I am going to have one myself. We are taking Canine Good Citizen Classes we have 2 classes to go before the test to see if he passes if not i will have to put him in another class. We have a long road ahead for us.

I have estimated it will be roughly $7,500 or more for 2 years of training with a trainer. I have used $1000 in training that we have saved and money from friends and family.
Service dog training can cost from $5,000 minimum to well over 10k

$500 will go towards his service dog gear. If I raise more than what I am asking I will put the extra money away for emergency funds for Malachite.

I will be so thankful if I could get help from you all so I can get out and live again other than being cooped up in the house. I can't leave the house alone in case I fall and cant get up. I appreciate all the help I can receive.
