Kristine’s Kidney Battle

2018 was a year of loss for me and my family - i lost both parents and my sister was diagnosed of end-stage renal disease. She's been on dialysis since then as a transplant is quite impossible with our current situation.

2019 is a year of hope and hard work. The journey won't be easy but with your support it is worth the Fight. And this year 2020, amid the pandemic, we continue to rally on.

My sister has an autoimmune disease in the form of Psoriatic Arthritis, she's been battling with since since 2005, this condition contributed in deforming her arms and legs, she's a qualified Person with Disability. Despite this condition, she continued to become the family's breadwinner, a registered pharmacist, she is smart and caring. Until 2018 came, my father and mother untimely passed away.

Since then, there are only 3 siblings left of our family: me, my sister and our 18y/o 'bunso' who is currently in her First year in College.

The Dialysis community in the Philippines is one of the most challenged group as far as healthcare insurance is concerned. We are up to this day, pushing for movements to compel Philippine legislators to augment the budget for dialysis patients. As a family with a dialysis patient, i can attest on how burdensome and expensive this condition is.

That is why i am here, knocking at the door of your hearts to raise a small fund for my sister's continous treatment and support her other medical needs.

I currently have a start-up The Little Big Kitchen, a bakery i started out of my passion for baking, (you can check us on FB) this is our pimary source of livelihood and a big fraction of my sales go to my sister's dialysis fund.

Any amount will go a long way in extending my sister's life.
