Training to be a Physics Teacher

In January I gave up working in industry and business to pursue a career in teaching. This has been with the aim that teaching will help offer a better way of life for my family and will give me more time to spend with my children.

I begin my training in September at the West Grantham Academy, St Hugh's campus. I will be training as a secondary science teacher specialising in Physics. The training scheme I am on is unpaid and therefore I will not be drawing a salary from September, and because my training is Monday to Friday in school it offers very little time to earn money outside school.

I have set up this fundraising website in a bid to raise funds to ease the pressure and financial burden whilst studying throughout the year. Throughout my life I have always put my faith in God in that he provides and always has helped and blessed my family and I in times of need. Giving up a stable career in industry was a very big step into the unknown and so far has proven to be the best thing I have ever done for my family.
