Ivan is a sweet boy who has been through a lot.
Only he knows how he ended up on the streets, but he must have been alone for quite some time. Luckily, a good samaritan picked him up and brought him to an emergency clinic, and from there, he came to Cat Depot.
At this time, he was in poor health overall and had a large wound on his face. He also tested positive for FIV. Within the first week, he received supportive treatments for poor appetite and dehydration, extensive surgery to repair the wound on his face, and he was neutered. Once he was recovered from all this, he had a dental to remove three fractured teeth and got a much needed cleaning of his (now) pearly whites.
Ever since then, he has kept our medical team on their toes. He has had some skin issues, and suffered episodes with fever and loss of appetite. He responds well to treatments, but in order to tailor a plan for him - and be able to give a future adopter an idea of what he will need - we would like to make a few more diagnostic tests.
Ivan has already had veterinary care for just under $2,000 - not counting the medical team's time - and the upcoming diagnostic tests will cost another $500.
He has the potential to live a long, happy, and normal life. He has a wonderful personality, and he deserves a wonderful future in a loving home. He meows that he aims to please - he is cuddly, playful, willing to warm someone's lap, and will even consider walking on a leash.
Please consider helping us help Ivan.
