Gaborone Secondary school is situated in Ga-motlatla village, North West, South Africa.
As its teachers, we are committed and devoted to making a difference in our community by improving our school's education, but our learners currently don't have access to modern technology.
Since modern technology has invaded the education field at an increasing pace with computers, laptops, tablets, etc, our learners now aspire to have access to them to use them to solve math sums, write, design, and complete other projects.
Even us as teachers, we are now aware that the traditional passive learning model is broken. Technology is now everywhere. It affects how we live, work, play, and most importantly, how kids learn.
Computers and tablets have become versatile instruments that revolutionized the modern instruction landscape. The app and computer software ecosystem provides an abundance of learning content for all ages and various knowledge domains.
As some of these modern devices are becoming an increasing requirement across industries today, it only makes sense that all schools also effectively deploy modern technology in the classroom. But for us Gaborone Secondary school, implementing the latest technology will be difficult as we can't afford it, so we resolved seeking help to achieve this goal.
We thank you in advance for your support.
