Help David To Beat Brain Cancer

Hello, I am Adrian Lungu, David's father. I've created this fundraising campaign with my wife desperately needing money to help David, our baby because we love him very much. We really want him to have a normal life like all other children. Please read the little story down below to understand what David is going through at these times.

David is a wonderful 3 years child. The son of Adrian and Lucia Lungu. He is currently struggling with a very rare type of brain cancer called Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumor, better known as AT / RT. Only 1% of pediatric brain tumors are classified as AT / RT. On November 29, 2017, doctors found a tumor in David's brain. On the same day, he was hospitalized for further tests. The next day, it was confirmed that David had a tumor, the size of a golf ball at the base of his brain and needed surgery. On December 12, David underwent 9-hour surgery at Birkdale Pediatric & Adult Neuro Clinic Children's Hospital. Fortunately, doctors have managed to remove almost the entire brain tumor without compromising any kind of neurological function. They stayed in the hospital for 10 days helping David recover. Not five days after returning home, David began to go back and had a fever in class 103/104. They rushed again and then were transported by ambulance back to Birkdale Pediatric & Adult Neuro Clinic, where they monitored and conducted more studies of David to ensure there was no additional pressure on the brain. After another 6 days in the hospital, David was allowed to go home. Unfortunately, David will need extra treatment. It consists of chemotherapy, radiation, and possibly stem cell transplantation. That means Lucia and David will be dressed in the hospital for the next 6 months because at that time she will be hospitalized. The rest of the treatment should be outpatient, which would allow them to be home. It will begin next week. Of course, this is beyond devastation for the family. Lucia has been out of work since it all started, and Adrian has practically used all his traction forces. Medical bindings are already coming and needing help. David is their only child and the joy of their lives. They are prepared to do whatever is necessary to provide the best opportunity for survival. It is unbelievable how the moment the eye has passed, everything has changed for this beautiful family. Lucia, Adrian and David are in the battle of their lives. Like her friends and family, we are struggling with how to help. Knowing that on sleepless nights, over time, painful treatments, frightening moments and the fear of what follows, we must remain strong and positive for them. We started this account as a way to do something useful to this loving family during the impossible battle and challenge. We call David the "Steel Man" because he is a fighter.
