I'm Patience, a 37 year old stay at home mom who's decided to take the stand and set myself as one my life's top priorities.
I want nothing more than to be a strong role model to my daughter and son. I would love to continue studying in my dream field to ideally enskill me so I can ease my loving husband's breadwinner stress.
I had successfully applied to Unisa, three times but could never register due to financial constraints. Last year we finally bit the bullet and I managed to register, albeit only for the first semester. It was tough, waiting for the kids to get to bed, and him to get done with his work so I could study on his work laptop.
It was also hard to study through the personal guilt that I used 'house money' selfishly but I loved going through my module material.
As mentioned, I could only afford one semester last year and I couldn't even get my exam results because of outstanding fees.
I've applied for this year's first semester and to my joy, only one subject I did last year appeared as one of my available modules for this registration period.
I would love help in winning this battle to study and once you get to know me you'll know that any extra funds will definitely be helping another - Facebook and Twitter has unfortunately shown me I'm not alone.
