Meet Rebecca Lee Arthur, a 13 year old singer/songwriter who has won titles in SA kids with Talent, as well as other talent contests that she's taken part in in the past. She's been singing since she was able to make a sound and can’t imagine herself doing anything else! She's released a cover of "Wherever I Go" originally by Miley Cyrus on YouTube, where a video was professionally produced and now has over 6K views. She has also released her own songs on iTunes. The first is called “Still" and the most recent song is called “Yourway”. She not only writes and sings, she also plays the piano, guitar and ukulele.
Her entire life, she's wanted this opportunity that you'll be helping her to achieve by helping her to raise these funds.
Last year she auditioned for a competition called iPOP and, being one of only 5% of those who auditioned, was selected to go to iPOP 2019 in Las Vegas. She was unable to go due to lack of funding.
This year, in fact last week, she represented Gauteng in the SA Championships of Performing Arts. She received 4 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medal. One of her golds was for her original song “Yourway”. Her success at these championships earned her a place in the South African team which will be attending the World Championships of Performing Arts in Long Beach Los Angeles in July this year. This of course will not be possible should she not be able to raise the necessary funding for herself as well as for one of her parents to accompany her.
This is her dream. It would be an experience beyond anything she has ever imagined. The eye opener that she needs in order to see exactly what is out there and what she can expect in her career going forward. A chance to shine, to grow and to fly beyond her wildest dreams.
Please help her get to the World Championships of Performing Arts in LA, as part of the team that she was selected for, the one which she has worked so hard to be part of...Team SA!🇿🇦
