Imagine a fashion brand who is not only sustainable but also traceable

Imagine.... a fashion brand not only being sustainable but also traceable, knowing exactly where and by who it is produced but also where the fabric comes from, the trims, etc. What if you could follow the complete supply chain till warehouse delivery! ...sounds pretty amazing right?! I see you thinking why do I need that, if I look at the label and it is made in Turkey or in Europe I should be fine right?? The answer is NO!

Just some insight, you are having a nice denim, and you see a made in Turkey! Sounds good at least I did not buy a denim out of Bangladesh or China and you feel good and go home! Great product bought maybe it is a bit more expensive then the other one made in China, but well I did good!

So let's check out if you are right...
Let's say you have a premium denim and we can trace that the fabric has been made in Turkey with one of the bigger mills, great all good! However many suppliers buy their fabric from the local market as not many brands and retailers have nominated fabric suppliers, so maybe your fabric came from a mill in Turkmenistan, and its cotton from Uzbekistan. Both countries are ruled by a dictatorship, and still not safe!
Your sewing threads are probably bought in China, same as your zippers and/buttons... and so on and on...
