Campaign Story
The Summary:
Anne Marie, was diagnosed with quite an aggressive form of breast cancer recently. She requires extreme treatment, including Chemotherapy among others.
We are trying to do it through the government but there is a delay with the government hospitals and doing it private costs to much. Half government, half private is the best course of action. Unfortunately as soon as the word "private" is brought up, the number generally amounts to a few hundred thousands.
We are trying to raise enough funds for both options, if governmental care is done, there are additional expenses of medication, transport for the treatment and to be able to cover the costs of her doctor.
She is on a day to day GP cover with Essential Med, but unfortunately as she was diagnosed before she was on a medical cover, all treatment towards the illness is being excluded.
A side note about Anne Marie:
- She takes care of everyone and everything.
- She is someone who makes you smile even when your world is crashing down.
- She will always stand next to you, fighting with you.
- She is an extraordinary strong woman, whom has been through endless battles and every time she has dusted herself off and fought back.
OUR CURRENT GOAL IS R50 000 ZAR / 4000$ USD
This will assist with the following:
The funds will be used primarily for her medical expenses. In the event that she requires no more treatment due to remission or in the unfortunate event that treatment is no longer a viable option, all remaining funds will be donated to Cansa - To assist other victims in their treatment.
We know for everyone funds are tight, but, if possible, in any way, please help me to help her.
