This is to raise money to pay hospital bills and continuous medical care/rehabilitation of my mother Aida Orbe, 84 yrs old who suffered from stroke/brain aneurysm last October 27, 2018. She is still in the stage of recovery confined (and labeled "overstaying" by hospital officials) at the hospital. We cannot take her home because of our unpaid bills, plus the hospital have closed our account therefore they refuse to give her medication and food (dietary supplement via NGTube) without payment. We have to spend for her needs on a daily basis for things like diapers, under pads, etc.. the sterilized gloves and facial masks nurses/caregivers use on her, her medication like insulin including the syringes, her dietary supplement Nutren Fibre which costs Php. 1,600.00/800 gms. can good only for 2 days feeding, medical procedures like nebulization, blood sugar count, and the salary of privately hired Caregivers (on 12 hours shift each). We have been having a hard time keeping up with daily expenses to the point we have to make a choice between eating and/or paying our utilities and/or buying my maintenance medicines and spending it for her needs. Since I am the only person-in-charge often times I sacrificed everything else for her needs.

I am the only family member of my mother here in Manila. I am single and have been jobless due to my disability since 2007, the reason why we needed to hire caregivers because of my limited physical capabilities. My only sibling supporting us ever since is a recovering colon cancer patient and could hardly keep up with our financial needs since my mother's stroke because of her personal medical needs too.

I call my mother "miracle mom" because prior to her stroke, she had been taking care of me due to the many complications of my disability. She had been taking care of me and sister since our father left when we were young. Before she became a mother, she was the breadwinner (even though she wasn't the eldest) for her 8 siblings and parents. She sang (since her teen years) for fiestas in different barrios in Negros Occidental. Every day they traveled from one barrio to another and didn't have time to concentrate on her schooling. In fact she said the only reason she passed elementary was winning singing contests and making a name for their school.

She was a nurturer, a warm person who is always ready to help anyone. In fact she saved an Indian woman who was possessed and a man from jumping off a plane. She was almost victimized by the budol-budol gang because she was very trusting and they finally let her go when they realized she has no bank account to her name. My mother is a religious woman, in fact, that's the only reason I can find why even if we didn't agree to a brain surgery after her stroke, the bleeding and swelling in her brain subsided after almost a couple of weeks at the ICU. Or why her bedsore as large as the palm of my hand and at least 3 inches deep healed without a a follow up surgery because we couldn't afford it anymore. Finally a few days before her 84th birthday last February 28, 2019 she came out of her coma and is now able to speak in slurs.

She is fighting to survive and for whatever reason or for how long we do not know, all we know is we cannot give up on her now. She has taken cared of too many people now it is time we take care of her. But without the finances we badly need we may not be able to take care of her. So please, please I beg of you to have a heart and help us fight my mother's fight to live! My sister and I would be eternally grateful for whatever help you can give us! A little goes a long way!

For other payment/donation options you can use Western Union, Xoom and Palawan Express payable to Margaret Rose Orbe or just message me. Thank you very much from the bottom of our hearts.
