Monks & Orphanage Homes Need Financial Help.

There is a Temple in Chiang Mai, Thailand about 15 kilometers away from town up on a hill known as “Wat Phra That Doi Suthep”. In this Temple there are 35 Buddhist Monks who do rituals and prayers for visitors. Before Covid the Temple used to have at least a hundred visitors a day and more on the weekends. The donations from the visitors were able to maintain the Temple, the Monks and seven Orphanage homes with 315 children, some autistic and Infants. These children were abandon when they were infants & toddlers left at the Temple door step with some covered with ants and insect bites. The Monks cleaned them up accepted them as their own Children and housed them in homes with caretakers. Since January 2021 the Temple has been closed to the public due to the pandemic and the donations has stopped. They been using up their savings and the funds has dried up. With no funds the Temple clerk is not able to maintain the Temple, Monks and Orphanage homes. The Monks are asking for financial help from you to keep the children's homes running. Some local people raised funds to help but it was only sufficient to get food items for the Monks and children for a day or two. The Monks and the children also need daily essentials like soap, tooth paste and other items. The infants need formula milk powder, diapers and other essentials. Most of the days they have plain rice porridge for lunch and dinner. As it is they are already Orphans and going through this ordeal. After hearing about their plight, I decided to created this page to help raise funds for them. The donation will go directly to the Temple and also help maintain the orphanage homes. Some children are from the same family and pleading not to be separated. Please help them raise funds to get proper food as they need to have a healthy diet to grow and daily essentials. Currently Thailand is in a very bad state with unemployment rising and many suicide cases. One US Dollar is equal to 32 Thailand Baht which can feed one child two healthy meals for the day.
