We’ve Lost Everything

(I have started this campaign for 3 different families. Living paycheck to paycheck or Battling Life/Death, These families are struggling to survive and suffering just to keep a roof over their heads. Hence moving forward I'll keep their names and identities anonymous. These families are expatriates in Oman which is not their home country. They're not informed of this campaign as notifying them will only give rise to false hope as we too are unsure if this will work. We'll refer to them as Family 1,2, etc. Everything you read below is their current situation, only narrated in our words.)

Family 1 - The sole bread earner of this family of 5 was laid off from work due to the pandemic, Having no source of income for about 4-6 months and surviving solely on minimum savings of the previous months, the family rejoiced when the office called to inform that employees can return to work from the 1st of November 2020. Tragedy struck when unexpectedly the Man of the house was tested positive for covid ( Standard procedure before returning to work) and passed away the very next morning. The family shattered and was left broken, Stricken with grief, The survivals of the deceased mourned for a month, it was then that they realized that finance was now necessary.

Survived by a daughter old enough to work, the daughter was hired for only (OMR150) 400$ a month which doesn't even cover the expenses of the school-going kids. Ultimately the college-going 19-year-old son had to drop out of college and start working to cover the expenses, keep his younger brother in school and pay rent in a country where expatriates cannot own homes.

I urge everyone reading to help this family by donating as minimum as 1$, The very least this family deserves is an education for the kids, a roof over their heads and basic necessities to survive.

Family 2 - Once well settled, This ex-pat family in the middle east now is drowning in debt close to bankruptcy. The family-owned business had to close shop due to the pandemic which resulted in having no income for 8 months. The expenses of the business kept accruing and employees were still on the payroll as laying them off is against the country restrictions. The rent, salaries, suppliers had to be paid off for months from the business and personal savings. Eventually, the personal savings and other sources ran out of finance and they ended up borrowing money from friends and family. Having no income for 8 months this family remained behind on tuition fees of the school-going kids, home rent, etc.

Having no other means available, they survived on contributions from friends and family. Even after the lockdown was lifted, businesses weren't doing well as customers remained indoors. The minimum amount the business made was spent towards settling debt, paying rent, school fees, etc.

With the current situation ongoing, there is no specific idea as to when the normal shall return. Despite having lived in the country for all their life, citizenship isn't granted to ex-pats, which means the family will either have to close shop permanently if they fail to renew their business license which is super expensive for ex-pats in the middle east and move back to a country where they have never lived and do god-knows-what to survive and pay back the loans or sell their only family home back in their country to settle debts, renew the business license, bring the employees back, stock-up and try to revive their lives again at a cost of losing their only home back in their country to which they may be sent if the laws of this middle-eastern country demand and wait decades to be able to own a home again.

Please help them save their only home and live a normal life again. The estimated amount they need is 210,000 USD to settle the debt and revive the business and their lives again.
