60km Obstacle Run to raise Funds for Orphanage

The aim of this campaign is to raise funds for two orphanages in Oarda de Jos, Judetul Alba, Romania ("Izvorul Tămăduirii" and "Adolescența", more details provided below). The funds raised with this campaign will be used to provide the children with better living conditions, study materials for school, opportunities to practice sports - all of which will give them the chance to have a happier childhood.

I was inspired to do this campaign after meeting two children this past year from an orphanage which highlighted the importance of these institutions. These two orphanages from my hometown are in need of our support to continue to provide for these children.

In order to raise funds, I have challenged myself with participating in the Ultra Viking Run on 29th September 2018. This event involves running 60 kilometers with a total of 3,300 meters altitude change, completing over 135 obstacles and finishing the challenge in under 10 hours. The track is located in the mountains of Wiehl, near Cologne, Germany.
