6 Years In County Jail Without a Trial

I am starting this Go fund me account, for a friend of mine with this being the last resort. We are in deep hope that this fundraiser will be successful. For the last six years, I have been a front seat witness to how the judicial system lacks minimal care for the human race. Although we all may have or know of stories, I would like to share one that hits close to home. My brother Michael was wrongfully accused in charged for murder in a case has scientific evidence of his innocence. As if that isn’t enough, Michael has been incarcerated in a count facility for six years where he has yet to have his case tried or heard. Though this may seem like an everyday occurrence, for those accused of murder Michael’s story is one that should be heard worldwide. For that reason, I have decided to be a vessel and share his story. Here’s a sincere letter from Michael.

Letter

I can’t count how many nights in this cell, I have fallen asleep with tears rolling downs the sides of my face, praying, that I could wake up next to my kids and family again. For six years, I have been here trying my best to remain strong and patiently waiting for the truth to unfold. It has been solid evidence of my innocence since I’ve gotten here that the state is aware of but has pushing to the side and hiding for years. I have mistakenly identified just from having dreadlock hair. Once the State realized from the scientific evidence, it was impossible for me to have committed this crime, and I wasn’t at the scene of the crime, they began to prolong my case by switching my judges, prosecutors, and public attorneys. I never thought the system would go this far to stereotype someone innocent with truth behind a reasonable doubt to try to justify a mistake on their part. I have been represented by different public attorneys this entire time and there is still discovery from this case I have not seen yet. I am expected to be tried sometime this year, and in desperate need of private counselor. An available lawyer that is heartfelt towards defending me, who knows my rights has been violated, is asking for a $20,000 retainer. Any donations, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated. I believe by the power of God and with the help of my family and you support, I may be able to retain this private attorney. The attorney will prove my innocence at trial with the evidence I have showing that I in no way committed this crime. Then I could be set free, from this unconstitutional suffering. May God bless you all, for taking out the time and showing consideration for my unfortunate circumstance. I pray that one day soon, I could thank you all with tears of joy on the opposite side of this county wall.
