5000 Souls Campaign for Jesus

Throne of Glory is a Church in Pretoria that has been operating for four years now. Our work is centred on spiritual growth and in helping those who seek Jesus through spreading the word of God. The church also carries a social mandate to support the widows in our community by delivering groceries on a monthly basis to our mothers who do not have adequate or any form of support for survival. Due to Covid-19 and the extended lockdown, the church has also been struggling. While other churches have been closing permanently we have managed to still stand on our feet today. Currently the church has been leasing a building and it has been a struggle to keep up with the payments as some members of the congregation could not support the church due to lost work opportunities due to the lockdown. The church’s aspiration was to own its own land and church building so that in future, the church will not be subject to lease conditions but maybe focus on mortgage payments. The church is looking for support towards rent payment or acquiring of property to house the church.

Throne of Glory Church is struggling with its media portfolio which is key to the progression of church services and in spreading the word to people external to the church to extend the reach of the word, as the word is for everyone. The portfolio has three main divisions namely (1) Publications, (2) Sound and (3) Marketing.

The church this embarked on a 5000 souls campaign for Jesus where it seeks to identify soldiers who want to do the work of the Lord in order to widen the footprint of the church. To achieve this, the church desires to increases its reach through spreading the word in using many channels. The church has resolved to embark on a monthly magazine, to be distributed both online and in print media. Print media is required as not all people has access to smart phones, and such bulletins can be distributed in public places. As people read these publications, they do not only feed their souls, but have the opportunity to also give others to read. That way, the word is also spread. I this regard, we wish to have a copier or duplication machine which can run A3 or A2 paper sizes four our printing press. This printing press will also be used for publications for the Children's Ministries where we also want to develop story books for children at different ages. This is to make sure that children are also nurtured in the light of Jesus Christ and to make sure they are not forgotten in this journey to the Kingdom of God.

During the conduct of each church service, the sound department plays an important role. The sound system is required to be well functional. Our choir needs to complimented by musical instruments such as drums, keyboards, tambourines. Several instruments are also required in Children Ministries. The few pieces of equipment have seen better days and procuring audiovisual equipment would increase the ease of doing God's work. We are requesting support to purchase musical instruments such as keyboards, guitars and drums and equipment for the public address system to include a mixer, and preferably wireless microphones. We also wish to purchase cameras so that we can film the service and make it available to a wider audience. The church needs projectors for use for the services and for the children ministries. Some of the equipment we are currently using is now worn out and needs replacement. We appreciate any donation in cash or kind so that our church can function properly. Due to the expensive nature of media equipment, we accept donations for used equipment.
