Campaign Story
These are my boys, Indy, in the orange, and Jake, in the grey and white. I have to leave my babies with my mother while I am overseas, but I know they will be loved and spoiled as I would spoil them. I will miss them desperately.
Hi, my name is Kim, I'm 42, and I'm about to start a new career, teaching English overseas. After years of working as a bookkeeper and office worker for low wages, either ending with a lay-off, receivership, or company closure, I returned to university and received my BA in English. Just at the end of November, I completed my TESL Certficiate, and now I need financial help getting started. In order to get my education, I had to go onto student loan, so I have a very large loan debt and no savings.
I know I will be a successful teacher, and that I have at last, found my calling. I have the energy and determination, I'm a responsible individual who gives a 100% into everything I do, and I would be very grateful for any amount of donation. I thank you sincerely from my heart for your help. It means the world to me.
I need to raise money for travel expenses, as well as $500 for a medical exam, which is required for me to pay for, before being allowed to enter China, where I will be teaching.
Here is a picture of me with my students from my practicum. It was a wonderful and rewarding experience, and I look forward to many more like it:
