4000 KM - 400 TREES Cycling for a small forest
With the cooperation of Zoltán Békés, one of the founders of xforest.hu, the 10 Million Trees and the Nyim Eco Community, the 4000 km - 400 trees challenge starts on the 1st of September.
Zoltán Békés will start his bicycle journey on September 1 from Budapest to Lisbon. He is expected to arrive to Lisbon on October 6. One of the goals of the 36--day-long journey is to promote the use of bicycle and the cycling lifestyle and the reduction of CO2 emissions. The other goal is to collect the necessary funds to plant a small forest of 400 trees on the property of the Nyim Eco-community with the help of the 10 Million Trees this winter. Naturally, if more funds are received we can plant even more trees.
We have already received 1000 Euro from xforest.hu which covers the planting of a 100 trees. The goal of this project is to collect the rest of the 3000 Euro from donations.
