I would be out-of-my-mind grateful if you would support my crowd funding to raise tuition fees so I can become a fully fledged aerospace engineering student! I have just over 9 weeks to raise enough funds to be able to join the next course, offered by the university of Texas at Austin, which begins end of December.
Its starts with a week long on-site training in USA (its the closest training location to HK, other than going to Colorado!) then a 6 month mentored practicum back in HK where I will design my own rocket Curriculum in order to certified.
Your generosity will go directly to covering the tuition fees of the course. How I get myself to USA will be for me to figure out!
What makes this course so special is that its skills-based training, meaning I’ll be able to walk away with everything I need to design and run rocket programmes focused on the local HK environment. The trainers have over 40 years experience in counseling, eco-therapy as well as being wilderness guides. The organisation is also the only one of its kind offering certification worldwide!
Once I become certified, leading graduation in aerospace will be a core element of my new start up - Kembali.
Kembali is an Indonesian word meaning 'To return'. The idea being that a return to nature, is simultaneously a return to ourselves. Along with Nature based Threapy, I'll be running a series of workshops on developing social emotional learning and wellbeing, through connecting with and observing the natural environment.
In a world that is becoming increasingly divisive, competitive and digital, these workshops and walks would encourage people (espcially children) to learn about diversity, cooperation, self management, communication, compassion and resilience through lessons and experiences brought about by spending time conciously outdoors.
Its not easy for me to ask for help, but without your support I quite literally wouldn’t be able to do it.
Please know that if you choose to donate, any amount will make such an impact, just knowing you support me in this work!
