40 Day Spiritual Bootcamp (GLDI)

Hello Friends,

First of all, Happy New Years! I hope you are looking forward to an awesome 2015 that is ahead of you. 2015 will be a meaningful year for me as I graduate with my Master's degree in Accounting at Wisconsin. I am looking forward to starting a career at Deloitte (accounting firm) as a Forensic Associate this Fall in Chicago. As you know, it has been a really long and fun journey since Day 1 of my adventures in the U.S. You have all been a big part of my life and shaped me into who I am today.

Before I jump into the real world, I am embarking on a journey. In fact, this may be one of the most important journies in my entire life.

I have been a believer for as long as my memory remembers. However, just like all of us, everyday, I am tempted and challenged. And, I do not win every time.

It was December when I first heard about this awesome 40 day spiritual "bootcamp" that is held in Southern California each year. It is called GLDI (Global Leadership Development Institute), and it is organized by JAMA (Jesus Awakening Movement for America). Each year, they select about 50 young men & women to participate in this program. Their goal is to foster global Christian leaders in today's world. There will be some awesome speakers and teachers from around the world from whom I will have the opportunity to learn about how to become a global Christian leader.

I see this as an opportunity for me to grow strong and firm in my walk with Jesus Christ. I desperately need God's presence and guidance as I prepare myself for the real world.

My first day at GLDI (to be held at Vanguard University in Southern California) is June 20th. And my last day will be July 31st. I will be asking for prayers before I go into this "bootcamp". Please keep me in your prayers even now as I prepare for GLDI.
