40, 40, 40 for little Jenson

40TH BIRTHDAY FUNDRAISING CHALLENGE - 40, 40, 40

Lindsey Courage is doing a massive challenge for Jenson, which includes swimming, riding a bike and running.

Lindsey says..

To coincide with my 40th birthday, I hope to swim 40 lengths, 40 mile bike ride and 40 mile run in one day on Sunday 28th February 2016 in Gloucestershire.

Less motivated by competition these days (though others may disagree) improving the quality of life of others provides no better incentive. In this case it is for a young boy who is about to face an unimaginably difficult journey of his own. This boy is Jenson, shortly to be 3 years old. On his first birthday he was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a muscle wasting and life limiting condition. As he goes through childhood he will suffer progressively debilitating muscle weakness and require increasing levels of physical assistance as he looses the ability to walk,eat and breath. I would like this event to be dedicated to raise money to assist in the provision of his future care needs.

I hope you will be able to support this cause and if you feel inclined you are more than welcome to join me (and hopefully my husband, Toby - who doesn't know it yet!) in running a half marathon loop, full marathon or whatever distance you wish on the 28th and join in the fundraising.
