Zina Haughton, my stylist and friend, died in a mass shooting spree at the Azan Salon and Spa in Brookfield, WI on October 21, 2012.

Each of Zina's daughters, 13 and 20, will need support services after this brutal crime. The hope is that this terrifying event does not define them, or their futures. With your contribution, the girls will be able to seek out the help that they need, without having to question whether or not the care is affordable.

Most people are aware of this tragic story because it has made national headlines for an extended period, so I will not get into the details of the event. However, I will point out that Zina's children lost both parents...the shooter was Zina's husband, and he shot himself after murdering 3 women and harming 4 others. Though Zina did everything that she could to protect herself and her children, her daughters now face a long road to recovery. Unfortunately, her eldest daughter witnessed her step-father shoot her mother, and the 13 year old is now facing a future without her parents, in a new home. Zina's daughters need your help.

Help make a difference in the lives of these innocent girls. Contribute what you can; any and all donations make a difference.

**More information on what a child must face after the murder of a parent is available at http://www.cwla.org/voice/0512survivors.htm in an article authored by Mary Liepold, Survivors, Not Victims: Children of Murdered Parents from the Child Welfare Leaugue of America.
