I am trying to start a studio shed company. These sheds can be used as Man Caves, she sheds, office space, Pool houses etc. Part of the profit will go to giving back to the local community in the form of school supplies and putting together other events for children in need. The main goal is to show minorities that there are other ways to be known besides sports, music, and other stereotypes. This shed company will operate similar to companies like Studio Shed, Kanga Room Systems and Modern shed. Our sheds interior are fully finished, ready for you to enjoy. They are built to the same standards as residential homes, and comply with the international building code.
My name is Montavius Sherrod, I am 25 years old from Wilson, North Carolina. After graduating high school in 2011, I enlisted in the United States Army. I served 5 years including 2 combat deployments before I was medically discharged due to an injury sustained overseas. The initial transition back into civilian life was hard. I knew my next calling was construction but was unaware how to get my foot in the field. I enrolled into the construction management program at Louisiana State University, where I began in depth education in the construction industry. While attending LSU, my stepfather lost his battle to cancer, which lead me to move back home to be close to family. Still determined to finish my degree, I enrolled in the building construction technology program at Pitt Community College, where I received my certification in residential home building.
During my time at PCC, I came up with a business plan that involves building studio shed structure while also giving back to those less fortunate
Any donation can help achieve this goal and I thank you in advance
