WHO WE ARE
Hopeland is a church that is called to reach the next generation of our city with the power and love of Jesus Christ. We are doing this successfully and our church is experiencing growth. We are commited to excellence in telling the story of God who has rescued humanity from their sins.
Our church started in a barn and has been in existence for just under three years. About 11 months after starting in January 2011 we moved to meeting in another small church building near a major highway intersection (I70 & I75). We started with a core group of 13 people in the barn and have grown to a weekend attenance on Saturday nights of about 60.
WHY DO WE NEED THE MONEY?
Recently, we felt like it was about time to move into our own facility because we are running out of space. Our church is growing and our larger normal services are starting to push in the 80-90% of space available. We also occasionally have event nights and at our current curve of growth, our next event night (Christmas Eve) is going to be a challenge as far as getting everyone in the room.
HOW MUCH AND WHAT'S THE MONEY FOR?
We need to raise about $50,000 for 2014 for operating and renovation costs associated with moving. We have anticipated a need for approximately $12,000 for the transition costs (getting into the new space), and we need a total operating budget for 2014 of approximately $65,000 (our current group can cover approximately $26,000 of this).
We are making every effort possible to raise money from every possible source. Whatever you feel led to give, we are so thankful for it. God bless!
