We want to print 3d masks in Samoa for COVID, when the measles hit the pharmacies immediately ran out of masks in a few days. 3d printing is a slow process so it will take a while to build a decent amount.

COVID masks will be printed with a special RoHS compliant biocompatible antibacterial filament. This stuff actively kills bacteria, fungi etc,. if it gets on the mask.

The masks will be washable with removeable filters.

There are no 3d printing facilities in Samoa, so I've put in a lot of research into what needs to be done, and it's all within the scope of my existing engineering and CAD skillset.

One down, two to go... and postage I guess

I put in the other $200 and got the first one. Still need postage though. Also need the consumables which is pretty costly, but at least this is a start. Printing will be done with antibacterial filament rather than normal filament. Going to cost more, but seems sensible for face
