3D printed Glasses Enclosure Eyewear

Hey Y'all!

I'm here to launch the Good Vibes model of Enclosure Eyewear. 

How it all started:

As a college student in Tempe, AZ, I had an amazing oppurtunity to work with a new technology called 3D printing. I immediatley fell in love with the fact that a 3D printer gives you the ability to create anything that you can imagine.

As I was walking to class one day I was pretty bummed out that i forgot my pair of sunglasses at my appartment. Then it hit me. I got the idea to print my very own pair of glasses! After weeks of trial and error I finally made a model that I want to share with you all.

With Enclosures Good Vibes Model, I wanted to be able to give the costumer a good pair of quality sunglasses that are handcrafted to there unique order. I wanted  to create glasses I would want to bring to a party or wear at the beach knowing that no one else would have a pair of 3D printed glasses.

But I need your help. The 3D printer that I am going to buy (MakerBot Replicator 2X) cost $3000 and to a college student living on his own thats a pretty penny. I will aslo need to buy the filaments in many different colors to accomadate everyones different color choices.

My goal is to offer a product that the costumer feels is indivisualized to there specific request.

Good Vibes Model: 

If I get funded, the Good Vibes model will be my signature line. I took my own 3D design experience and created electronic renditions to source samples and refine the design, colors, and materials used in the Good Vibes line. The final product couples polarized polycarbonate lenses with a durable, lightweight, BPA-free (PLA) plastic frame.

WHERE KICKSTARTER COMES IN:

I've sourced a leading manufacturer of lenses which are hand assembled, polished, and packaged to my exact specifications. But I need your help to go from working prototype to full scale production. Your pledge will go towards production and materials that I need to go full scale. If the goal is met and barring any setbacks I expect to be shipping these out to you from sunny Tempe Arizona by December!

As a reward for your pledge I'm going to send you the first production run of the Good Vibes.

All reward levels will include a limited edition microfiber pouch for each pair of sunglasses and free shipping within the United States (including Hawaii and Alaska). For international shipping please add $7. At the end of the GoGetFunding campaign, you will receive a survey so you can specify which colors you would like.

$5 pledge: A Silicone Wristband that has "Good Vibes" inscibed in it.

$30 pledge: one pair of Good Vibes (any colors) + microfiber pouch

$55 pledge: two pairs of Good Vibes (any colors) + microfiber pouches

$105 pledge: four pairs of Good Vibes (any colors) + microfiber pouches
