300 made homeless in Tawau fire

The devastating fire started in the early evening hours on August 26th, 2019. Within 7 hours, the fire threatened our village, and 300 persons made homeless in overnight.

The fast-moving fire, unpredictable wind blows , combined to catch our community off-guard. Residents had little time for escape, much less time to collect any belongings or necessities. With only one way out of town, and short notice, many had to abandon their belongings and do what was necessary to evacuate and survive the burning fires.

I, Herwansha Mohd Rapi , one of the victims of last night fire. This campaign is to help 300 person of who have lost their homes and personal belongings. All the funds raised will be distributed to individual equally and in stages. There are 60 houses lost on fire last night, so I try to raise 1k per household to help with their day to day living while they rebuild their lives.
