3 Month Trip to Japan

It has always been my dream to at the very least go to Japan, but preferably live there. There is a school called NILS that runs 5 days a week and on the weekends has social events that help integrate you into the culture and help you practice Japanese in context. There are short term and long term programs, the short term programs run for 1 month, 2 months, and 3 months. The long term is a full 12 month program. I am wanting to go for the 3 month program in order to gauge if Japan is where I want to live.

The tuition for the 12 week program is $3,000 but has been discounted to $2,250 for the last few months, so I'm not sure if they are going to continue discounts throughout the year.

The boarding cost which includes 2 meals a day six days a week, internet, gas and electric, and a furnished bedroom is $2,000 for those three months.

A plane ticket there and back, plus commute costs and extra food or spending money will be around $1,500 (Of course this will change in a year so I'm keeping this number broad and flexible).

This is my dream and every dollar makes a huge difference. I appreciate every donation and support anyone is willing to provide.
