Tony K Liver Transplant Foundation

                                         The Tony K Liver Transplant Foundation was created to provide financial assistance to transplant patients on a case-by-case basis.  The Foundation works closely with transplant centers and medical providers to assist in providing lifesaving assistance to those most in need.  We recognize that transplant surgery is an ongoing physical, emotional and personal journey and that support is vital.  

Our foundation's vision is to provide a "2nd Chance for Life"   Comedian Tony K hails from Chicago, Illinois with a professional career that spans for over 10 years as a comedian.  He is the CEO and Founder of “The Christian Comedy Network”, a professional Christian booking agency that provides comedy relief for your entertainment needs. 

Tony K has lead the charge in the formation of The Christian Comedy Network in bringing together a professional entourage of the “Best of the Best” comedians,musicians and selected entertainment to compliment your event.  Tony K is unique and refreshing as he has allowed audiences to smile about the humor in everyday Christian family life while experiencing the joy of cultivating wholesome Christian relationships.  God has continued to bless our friend Comedian Tony K as he has held steadfast with his unwavering faith in God and his vision to enrich lives through a whole new Christian experience…..laughter!  

It is now our turn to giveback……   Family and friends of Tony K are uniting to raise money to help with his medical expenses and most recent expenses from liver transplant surgery.  As a united front we are also supporting Tony in his new vision  along with the launch of the Tony K Liver Transplant Foundation.  The Foundation shares Tony K’s vision to give a“2nd Chance for Life” to those in need. 

Funds raised by the foundation will be used to bless other transplant recipients by providing assistance with medical costs and related expenses not covered by insurance.  Tony K has touched each and every one of us.  Some know him as Comedian Tony K and all know him as a dynamic special man who has helped thousands through his unique and refreshing Christian comedy which  audiences to smile about the humor in everyday family life while experiencing the joy of cultivating wholesome Christian relationships.  His vision was designed to allow GOD to utilize his talent to unite church, commerce, and community to create jobs and drive wealth creation in our communities and underserved areas. What many do not know is that Tony K has been privately fighting for his life for 6 years. 

In 2007, Tony K became very ill.  After a new doctor performed blood work and other tests, TonyK was diagnosed with Primary Sclerosing Colangitis (PSC), a disease that caused scarring and inflammation of his liver.   Doctors told Tony K that he had less than 48 hours to live and that the damage to his liver would be irreversible.  Through faith Tony K beat the odds and continued to bless others knowing that God had a plan for him.  Tony K prayed and shared that God would deliver on his promise for a liver transplant, critical to his survival in due time.   Despite his struggles, Tony K remained positive with the unwavering support of his family, friends and Church family, and held strong with his faith and patience that God‘s promises are real.

In 2011, Tony K received news from his doctors that due to the damaging effects of PSC he would require a liver transplant in 2012.  After prayers and meditation Tony K chose to obtain a new liver through a live donor transplant.  As the outward signs of his illness becoming apparent to those around him, Tony K exposed his illness and need for a liver transplant to family, friends, and coworkers.   

On June 13th at 1:30AM Tony K received a call that God had blessed him with a liver donor match. 

On June 13th after 10 hours of surgery, Tony K received his new liver and his “2nd Chance for Life.    

WE NEED YOUR HELP … We recently learned that Tony K does not have health insurance, and now he is the one in need.   Our friend is faced with close to $600,000 in medical bills after a liver transplant and our research has shown that the cost of a transplant surgery can range from $250,000 - $1 million during the first year alone.  Anti-rejection drugs can cost patients $2,500 a month-and they are as critical to his survival as the transplant itself.   As we all know, people we meet every day experience a time in their life where they depend on the compassion and generosity of others?
