24 Hour basketball game taking place on March 15th.
Will play for a minimum 1 hour but will play an additional hour for every $100 earned.
Do you think you'll get over $100?
No, but if I made it $50 I'd be worried about playing time.
Where'd you get that first $50 from?
My Nana, cause she's the greatest. On a related note, she's like 400 years old and living in poverty and she STILL managed to give that huge chunk of money. Remember that when you click the X and close this window.
Speaking of playing time, aren't you almost 30?
Hey now, still have 4 months left in my 20s. My knees, ankles and other joints are in generally ok condition.
Look, I've played sports with you before, don't you sweat an unhealthy amount?
First off, doctors say that the amount of sweat I produce is in fact healthy. However I am aware of the social position my "slime" puts me in and I do plan on wearing some sort of sleeves to protect those around me.
Ok but seriously why should I donate?
Because this is the first time I've ever tried to get donations, because you want to see me eat bananas and drip sweat, because donating makes people feel good and, most importantly, because KidSport is actually a pretty cool charity.
This sounds cool and all, but I want some waterworks here.
I can't say you'll cry but I just might remembering the story. Went to a football tryout, thought it was pretty cool since I was good at it but this organized sports thing was sort of new to me. But at 14 yrs old I already had a pretty good sense of where my family sat financially. So when my mom asked me if it was something I really wanted to do, this question coming after we talked about how much it would have cost, I told her no. If KidSport had been around there would have been another option for me to play... and become a man... who doesn't cry remembering sad moments in life... Shut up it's dusty in here.
Alright, last question I swear, should I sell my house to donate?
While I appreciate the sentiment not only will you be homeless but I'll have to play basketball for like 150 days.
All proceeds going to the charity KidSport (http://www.kidsportcanada.ca/).
