2021 Sunshine Fortune Bags Program

SUNSHINE ACTION 耀陽行動 is a small but impactful humanitarian charity organisation founded in 2008 that aids Hong Kong’s underprivileged. Their mission is to feed the hungry and warm the abandoned.

Volunteering events are held to pack fortune bags containing food and necessities, which are then distributed to HK’s homeless, street sleepers, as well as those living underneath the poverty line. Since the beginning of 2020, Sunshine Action has supported over 15,000 low-income families directly, while donating 8,000 fortune bags to 100 local charities.

Due to COVID-19, we are tripling the program loads to support even more people affected by the pandemic. This involves packing and distributing 13,000 fortune bags to help more than 25,000 families across Hong Kong.

Note that Sunshine Action is fully run by volunteers with no overhead costs, so 100% of your donations will be used to help those in need. Each fortune bag is made up of around $100 worth of food and necessities.
