Short Summary

Anyone can be a Kinnektor. This is our montra, and maybe our thesis. Simply put, when you invest in your personal network, you exponentially create hope, and activate something between people that creates value, innovation, combustion and jobs. Kinnektor’s work is clearly aimed at Wisconsin with a strong focus on the Northeast corridor to other key hubs in Wisconsin.

Kinnektor is a builder of the entrepreneur infrastructure in Wisconsin, and has been putting the entrepreneur first since 2014 when it’s founders decided that Northeast Wisconsin has a lot to offer when it comes to building a real-world, viable and sophisticated business. We called that a startup, and still do, but it’s business building plain and simple. Along the way we have engaged with hundreds of volunteers, thousands of participants and dozens of experts from inside and outside the region. Just that has changed a lot around us.

Kinnektor’s monthly programs, and its annual startup conference - kinnektorCon does powerful and meaningful work that enriches the lives and network of many people. Help Kinnektor continue to build the entrepreneur ecosystem, activate the network, touch more lives, create more hope, and shape our region as a cool and cutting edge place to start something new.

We believe it is a community that builds a business in the same way a village raises its children. We are asking you to do a small part, or a large part to ensure that the kind of heart and passion we founded this company on can continue to impact lives.

What We Need & What You Get

Kinnektor is now a registered 501c3, effective October, 2018, and has a three part fundraising cycle the works on the following timetable. We are raising funds to fund monthly programming for the beginning of 2019. Funds cover program and operational costs for these programmed events. In 2018 kinnektor produced six monthly events that provided educational content on investment readiness, and pitch presentations along eight core vectors of building a new business. Each meeting had a discussion panel with experts and included food and drink at NO-COST to participants. It was a very successful launch. We want to improve on this program and continue to offer it with no barrier to entry.

Funding Goals:

  • Q4: $50,000 - Community outreach through our annual event and direct donations.
  • Q1 $100,000 - Fundraising through grants.
  • Q2: $150,000 - Direct sponsorship of Kinnektor initiatives and mission.

Help us to reach our 2018 Q4 goals. This will give us the momentum we need ensure that 2019 is full of new kinnektions… ;-D

The Perks:

Kinnektor wearables and handhelds aim to do a few things, first and foremost, to express our gratitude for your support. Then to let others know that you support Kinnektor’s mission. Together we can create big change!?

The Impact

Our impact has been recognized. In 2018 Kinnektor was listed in a report by the East Central Regional Planning Commission as leading in more categories for entrepreneurship and small business support than other Northeast organizations, 13 out of 20. We are motivated by the following truths to keep building.

  • 2 of every 3 jobs are created by startups and small businesses.
  • New Entrepreneurs bring new ideas, innovation and competition.
  • It’s believed 95% of all U.S. companies have less than 50 employees.
  • ALL Important to the economic strength for OUR Region, is that an activated region attracts great talent.

Risks & Challenges

Our risks and challenges are simple, kinnektor is a grassroots organization that has been bootstrapped by doers and dreamers from the beginning. This means that we are not funded by the government, or private interest groups.

More than ever before Kinnektor has earned the respect and interest of incredibly talented people that want to see the region thrive, and want to see that Kinnektor has a part to play in that vision.

Together with your funding and the network we create together our challenges can be overcome.

Other Ways You Can Help
