Hello, my name is Razan Abakar. I am 22 years old, I raising money because I would like to attend the 2018 Asia Youth International Model United Nation (AYIMUN).

It's well-known that experience is more important than knowledge and MUN is a great ocean where I want to deep dive within at least once in my lifetime, because it is an ideal path towards diplomacy and international politics and where youth can build their thought, enhancing debate skills and critical thinking. In addition, it is the most suitable place to learn about the way international organizations, like the UN, work.

Besides strong personal commitment to challenge myself within public policy for the first time, the most important reason for me to attend this conference is to learn how to engage the policy with global issues specifically Climate Change.

Besides holding a Bachelor degree in Geology, I have a very interest in the Environment. I became one of the Tunza Eco Generation Regional Ambassador aiming to develop and support the potential of Sudanese young people to contribute to the Environment and climate change, providing them workshops, events, and competitions.

Although the importance of engaging climate change not only by the individuals, but also by nationals governments. However, public policy science has been critically under-empiricized with respect to climate change and related issues.

The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. And if I got a chance this will be my first MUN, and I hope it will be my very beginning step concerning political life. And AYIMUN is a perfect opportunity helping me to achieve what I am trying to reach and makes me clearly understand the nature of the world around us and the politics, in general, more deeply and many other things.

But unfortunately, I don't have the money to pay for visa and round-trip ticket to from Khartoum, Sudan to Bangkok, Thailand ($1600 ) and to pay for the conference accommodation fee ($400). Any amount of money that you can donate to help me attend my first MUN conference is greatly appreciated! Thank you.
