My name is Andrea Kilday I am a taekwondo athlete from New Zealand I have represented New Zealand at many events. I have been invited to compete in the 2013 World Taekwondo Grand Prix that will be held in Manchester on the 13th till the 15th of December with eight different weight categories battling it out for vital qualification points ahead of Rio 2016. To be invited to this event you must be ranked in the top 35 competitors within their Olympic weight division. In New Zealand taekwondo is a self funded sport and athletes have to pay their own way to get to the events and to be able to achieve their dreams. Any donations would be appreciated and would be used towards airfares, accommodation.
