Help us create this 9th annual Buddhist Festival in the Park.  Our theme this year is Transforming the Heart.  All are welcome at this free event on June 2, 2012 in Portland's Colonel Summers Park.

Children learn a little about Buddhism with fun activities.  Adults can attend a talk and a separate discussion panel, as well as introductory workshops. All can participate in simple Buddhist ceremonies.  This year we bring back a popular blessings for all beings ceremony at which pets are welcome.

This is an opportunity to meet fellow Buddhists and Buddhist friendlies throughout the day.  Many local Buddhist communities are available to share information about their temple and practice.

If we raise our goal of $1,000 we can cover the park rental and other expenses.  If we raise $2,000 by May 1, we can upgrade our park rental so we can have sales of food and Buddhist goods. If not, after May 1, any amount raised over our expenses would be saved for our big 10th year festival in 2013.  A history of all expenses are available at our website via Google Docs.
